First BCFE Climate Justice / Sustainability Event

On March 11th, we had our first BCFE Climate Justice and Sustainability Event in Ballyfermot Library.

Speakers included

  • Senator Lynn Boylan, Sinn Féin Spokesperson on Climate Justice;
  • Eric Dempsey, one of Ireland’s leading bird experts, wildlife author, broadcaster and wildlife photographer; and
  • Tony Walker, student on the Irish Traditional Music Performance and Traineeship in Instrument Making, Repair and Maintenance Level 6 HND

All spoke on themes of biodiversity, climate and sustainability. The event included a performance of teachers and students from the Traditional Music course, and was concluded by the launch of our Art, Design & Mixed Media students’ show  – Our Human Nature which ran for two weeks in early March.
