Ten learners from City of Dublin FET College, Ballyfermot Road recently took part in an unforgettable Erasmus+ Group Mobility to Business College Helsinki, enjoying an inspiring week of international collaboration, creativity and cultural exchange in Finland.
The programme, titled “Pay It Forward”, brought students together for a dynamic seminar focused on connection, social impact and teamwork. From the moment the group arrived at Business College Helsinki on Monday morning, learners were immersed in a rich schedule of activities including introductions to the college, student presentations, language learning, keynote talks and collaborative group work.
Across the week, students explored the seminar theme through charity tasks, social media projects and presentations, while also building friendships and partnerships with fellow learners in Helsinki. Highlights included a keynote session linked to the Commu App, group charity activities, and the opportunity to develop ideas around how to continue “paying it forward” in the future. The week also included a visit to the historic Suomenlinna Sea Fortress, adding a memorable cultural dimension to the mobility.
This was an amazing experience for the ten City of Dublin ETB learners involved, who represented the college superbly while working alongside students at Business College Helsinki. The mobility offered a valuable opportunity to develop confidence, communication, intercultural awareness and teamwork skills in an international setting.
A sincere thank you to Hilla, Orsolya and Kaisu for organising such a meaningful and engaging programme. Their support and planning helped create an exceptional Erasmus+ experience for all involved.
Well done to all of our learners for embracing this exciting opportunity and for being such fantastic ambassadors for City of Dublin ETB and City of Dublin FET College Ballyfermot Road.
