We at Ballyfermot College of Further Education were honoured to join the celebrations for Dublin Smart City 2024 at the prestigious Mansion House. This event marked not only a year of incredible achievements but also a moment of transition as Dublin passed the EU Commission Smart City mantle to Turin, Italy, which will take the lead for 2025.
Our partnership with Dublin City Council and our Finnish collaborators, ISR Oy, is paving the way for an exciting legacy project: the development of an E-Racing track of Dublin in 2025.
This cutting-edge project offers BCFE students a unique opportunity to contribute their creativity and skills to a sustainable and innovative vision of the future. It’s a chance to blend technology, education, and community impact in a way that leaves a lasting mark.
This exciting project is part of the college’s Erasmus+ programme where students have the opportunity to travel and experience real world projects in their subject of study. BCFE is the largest provided of Erasmus+ in the City of Dublin ETB.
We are thrilled to see our students playing an active role in shaping Dublin’s legacy as a Smart City and look forward to continuing this innovative journey.
