Are you ready to travel, grow, gain new skills, and experience Europe in a whole new way?

Applications are now open for Erasmus+ opportunities for 2025/2026 at City of Dublin FET College Ballyfermot Road. Erasmus+ gives learners the chance to take part in international work placements and mobilities, usually lasting two to three weeks, with opportunities in countries such as Finland, Germany, Holland, Malta and Spain. Successful applicants may qualify for support towards travel, accommodation and living costs, as well as language and cultural preparation before departure.

Erasmus+ is far more than a trip abroad. It is an opportunity to build vocational skills, strengthen your CV and Europass profile, improve your language abilities, and develop the kind of transferable skills that employers value — including adaptability, communication, problem-solving, self-confidence, collaboration and empathy. The college’s Erasmus+ accreditation highlights that these mobility experiences help learners grow both professionally and personally in real-world international settings.

Students taking part in Erasmus+ can benefit from:
✨ Work placement experience in their vocational area
✨ Greater confidence and independence
✨ New friendships and international networks
✨ Stronger intercultural awareness and a broader outlook
✨ Language development supported through Online Language Support (OLS)
✨ Improved progression opportunities for employment and further study
✨ A chance to represent the college as part of a vibrant European learning community

The wider Erasmus+ experience at the college also shows how international mobility can open doors to digital learning, sustainability awareness, entrepreneurship, cultural exchange and future-focused skills development. The college is an accredited Erasmus+ institution for 2021–2027, working with partners across Finland, Malta, Portugal, Spain, the Netherlands and Germany to create meaningful learning opportunities for students and staff.
